Hey all, just a quick note on Matt's behalf. If you're sending stuff to him, don't use your own address as the return. Evidently insurgents and sympathizers have been pulling the return addresses off of packages and sending hate mail back to the States. It may be isolated cases and/or higher-profile individuals, but better safe than sorry.

I've been sending pkgs for over 2 yrs and have never heard of this. I thought only American hands touched the mail? Wouldn't intimidate me---I'd send it to someone with a blog and make fun of their stupidity!

Well, only American hands may touch the mail before delivery, but that doesn't necessarily apply to what goes in the trash, things that get pilfered off of desks, etc.
Either way, sounds like it's only happened with higher-profile individuals...but knowing our Matt, he'll end up one of those higher-profile individuals! ;)
